BIGKIS Inc. is a non-governmental, chapter-based people's organization founded in 2022 and based in Quezon City. A bigkis is the cord that ties a bundle of stalks together: one stalk bends, a bundle stands.
BIGKIS ties local community groups (bawat lokal na samahan) into one movement for livelihood, service and unity. Its members are farmers, vendors, parents, youth and displaced workers.
It links them to government livelihood programs such as DOLE's TUPAD and DSWD's Sustainable Livelihood Program, and runs its own projects: community gardens, mushroom growing, a resort enterprise in Misamis Occidental, and the BISIGCO cooperative.
It grows one barangay at a time: a courtesy call on the LGU, an orientation for new members, an oath-taking of officers, then monthly meetings and service. Balagtas, Bulacan, one of the first chapters, marked its fourth anniversary in July 2026.
